About the Role

Toowoomba Grammar School is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all campus maintenance and facilities operations. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment that supports the school’s students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations across buildings, grounds, and facilities

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs

• Supervise maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring work quality and safety compliance

• Manage maintenance budgets, supplies, and procurement

• Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations

• Coordinate repairs, renovations, and improvement projects

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections

Requirements

• Proven experience in facilities or maintenance management (education sector experience preferred)

• Strong knowledge of building systems, mechanical equipment, and safety standards

• Demonstrated leadership and team-management skills

• Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

• Relevant trade qualification or technical certification (desirable)
