Toowoomba Grammar School is seeking a dedicated and caring Boarding Supervisor to join our Boarding House team. This role plays a vital part in supporting the wellbeing, safety, and development of our boarding students within a structured and nurturing residential environment.

About the Role

As a Boarding Supervisor, you will provide supervision and pastoral care to boarding students, ensuring a safe, supportive, and positive living experience. You will help maintain routines, uphold boarding standards, and contribute to the development of a respectful and inclusive boarding community.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise students during daily boarding routines, including evenings, mornings, and study periods
• Support student wellbeing, safety, and personal development
• Enforce boarding house rules and promote positive behaviour
• Assist with homework supervision and structured study time
• Monitor attendance, curfews, and student movement within the boarding house
• Respond to student welfare concerns and incidents appropriately
• Communicate with boarding staff, teachers, and parents as required
• Support boarding activities, events, and house programs

Selection Criteria

• Experience working with young people in a school, residential, or pastoral care setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage behaviour in a calm, fair, and consistent manner
• Understanding of student wellbeing and safeguarding principles
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work flexible shifts (including evenings and weekends)
• Current First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
